Avi Schlesinger received his BA in Economics, and MBA, from the University of Toronto. Prior to forming his own consulting and medical billing company, Avi worked for a business management firm in Los Angeles, and at Eli Lilly as a Financial Analyst. In 1990, Avi formed Practice Management Group (PMG). It specialized in complex third-party medical billing, and medical office practice management consulting services for over 400 physicians at University of California, Los Angeles, University of California, Irvine, Cedars Sinai Hospital, St. Johns Hospital, and numerous private practices.
For twenty-nine years, Avi provided practice management services to a number of medical practices in the areas of managed care contracting, strategic planning, accounts receivable management, physician recruiting and internal controls. Between 1994 and 2014, Avi was the CEO of a two-physician orthopedic group in Las Vegas, that he grew to become one of the largest medical groups in Nevada. It is in this capacity that Avi started developing medical office buildings, ambulatory surgery centers and imaging centers. Avi has since transitioned from consulting to the development of healthcare, commercial and residential real estate projects throughout the country with the founding of AS Realty Investors.
Avi is a past Chairman of the Board of Camp Ramah in California, a non-profit camp serving over 1,400 children a year, and serves on a number of other boards.
